Project Description:
OXFORD- ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION AND RELATED WORK AT INTERSECTION OF COMINS ROAD, MILL STREET AND ROUTE 56
The work consists of roadway widening, pavement resurfacing, installing a fully actuated traffic signal, and replacing bridge railings and related work at the intersection of Comins Road, Mill Street and Route 56 in Oxford. This project begins approximately 800 feet south of the Comins Road / Route 56 intersection and extends approximately 770 feet to the north on Route 56. The work will also consist of placing new bituminous concrete berm, resetting granite edging or curb, resetting or stacking existing guardrail, and installing new guardrail. New drainage structures include catchbasins, drain manholes and reinforced concrete pipe will be installed to provide adequate roadway drainage. Proposed roadway striping includes striping an exclusive left turn lane for both Route 56 approaches.
