Project Description:
BOSTON- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, BR# B-16-172, SPRAGUE STREET OVER MBTA, CSX & ACCESS
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing bridge which carries Sprague Street over the MBTA, CSC, and Service Road in the City of Boston. The proposed replacement bridge will be a four span superstructure approximately 450 feet in length with sidewalks on both sides. The existing abutments will be modified to accommodate the new bridge superstructure. The existing stone pier will be removed and 3 new concrete piers will be constructed to support the new superstructure. During construction a temporary pedestrian bridge will be in place.
