BEDFORD- BILLERICA- BURLINGTON- MIDDLESEX TURNPIKE/MITRE EXTENSION FROM ROUTE 62 TO NORTH OF PLANK STREET (PHASE II)

The proposed full depth reconstruction includes Middlesex Turnpike and the Mitre Extension: from the Mitre Extension intersection with Route 62 and Network Drive to 800 feet north of the Plank Street/Middlesex Turnpike/Crosby Drive intersection, for a total distance of 6,844 feet. Also included is Plank Street: from Middlesex Turnpike to approximately 480 feet north of Middlesex Turnpike. The intersections that will be improved within this section are the Mitre Extension/Route 62/Network Drive intersection, and the Middlesex Turnpike/Plank Street Intersection. The proposed work includes two travel lanes in each direction with the addition of turning lanes for safety and signalized intersections, a median and landscaping.
