BOSTON- MILTON- BRIDGE REHABILITATION, BR# B-16-003=M-25-002 ADAMS STREET OVER THE NEPONSET RIVER

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate portions of the existing bridge by replacing the substructure and the bridge deck. The existing twin 24-inch water mains and an 8-inch clay sewer pipe will be removed prior to these replacements and temporary pipes will be provided during construction. The easterly side of the bridge will be replaced with new pre-stressed concrete girders and new deck beams to support a concrete deck slab. The westerly sidewalk shall be demolished and reconstructed and repairs will be made to the existing steel and concrete support beams. Also included are repairs to the existing granite stone seawalls, piers, arches, clapper spans and retaining walls.
