ARLINGTON- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, BR# A-10-011 ROUTE 2 OVER THE MINUTEMAN BIKEWAY

The project consists of the replacement of Route 2 over the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway Bridge with a single span 118’ long concrete structure. This project was designed to be compatible with the large concrete visual elements of the Alewife complex and consistent with the architectural themes found in the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway Corridor. The single span bridge type and the lighting provided underneath the bridge were incorporated in response to the results of a public safety evaluation conducted in the beginning of the project.
