NATICK- ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION AND RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 135 (EAST & WEST CENTRAL STREET) & ROUTE 27 (NORTH & SOUTH MAIN STREET)

The project begins on West Central Street at the Framingham town line and continues east on to East Central Street to the Wellesley town line. It also includes the section of South Main Street (Route 27) between East Central Street and Cottage Street, Clarendon Street and Hayes Street. More extensive improvements are proposed in the downtown area, on East Central Street between North Main Street and Union Street. In this area pavement rehabilitation will be supplemented by geometric and signalization improvements. This project also includes enhancements which consist of: installation of a bituminous concrete parking lot, granite curb, stamped cement concrete sidewalks, fencing and landscape plantings at the Henry Wilson Cobbler Shop and landscaping of the pedestrian path that runs parallel to West Central Street from the existing parking lot west of Cemetery Street to Middlesex Avenue, which includes fencing and plantings at both entrances to the path; sidewalk construction on Middlesex Avenue, on the south side of the roadway from the entrance to the existing pedestrian path, across Washington Street to the limits of the existing sidewalk on Middlesex Avenue.
