BOSTON- RESURFACING & RELATED WORK ON COMMONWEALTH AVENUE, FROM WARREN & KELTON STREETS TO LAKE STREET

This project includes improvements to Commonwealth Avenue from Warren Street to Lake Street, a distance of about 1.7 miles. It includes the upgrading of existing traffic signals, installation of signal interconnect conduit and cable, new pavement markings, and installation of new street lights. The project also includes roadway resurfacing for some sections, reconstruction of sidewalks to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requirements with new wheelchair ramps for handicap accessibility and landscaping. Upgrading of 9 signalized intersections – 3 totally new signals and other 6 will have new controllers, vehicle detectors and pedestrian indications.
