Project Description:
PITTSFIELD- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON BENEDICT ROAD FROM CRANE AVENUE TO TYLER STREET EXTENSION (1.6 MILES)
The purpose of this project is to address the structural deterioration of Benedict Road while improving its safety characteristics for all roadway users. This will be accomplished by widening the road to provide continuous 4 foot shoulders; constructing approximately 5,200 feet of sidewalk; and replacing an outdated traffic signal system. Related work involves replacement of deteriorated drainage system components and upgrades to the city’s water supply system.
