DEDHAM- BRIDGE REHABILITATION, D-05-004, ROUTE 109 (BRIDGE STREET) OVER THE CHARLES RIVER
This project will replace the Route 109 over the Charles River bridge superstructure and its supporting abutments. It will include the construction of new concrete abutments supported by steel piles and new piers supported by concrete piles. The approach roadway from approximately 725 feet towards west and 500 feet towards east will also be reconstructed. Westbound traffic will be maintained by a temporary bridge and Eastbound traffic will use half the bridge during construction. Pedestrians will be required to use the temporary bridge during construction.
