TEWKSBURY- SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION, ROUTE 38 (MAIN STREET) AT SHAWSHEEN STREET
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve and upgrade the existing intersection geometry, increase intersection capacity and to provide safer and more efficient operation for both the pedestrians and motor vehicles. This project is located at the intersection of Route 38 with Shawsheen Street in Tewksbury. The Route 38 limits extend from the vicinity of Livingston Street on the west to the bridge over the Shawsheen River to the east. The Shawsheen Street project limits are approximately 140 meters (460 feet) south of the intersection to 165 meters (540 feet) north of the intersection.
