Project Description:
ERVING- MONTAGUE- BRIDGE REHABILITATION, BR# E-10-001=M-28-014 EAST MINERAL ROAD OVER THE MILLERS RIVER (CONVERSION TO PED/BIKE)
The existing bridge, constructed in 1888, is composed of two spans. The approach span, reconstructed in 1939, is 52 feet long and has steel stringers with a reinforced concrete deck. The 105 foot main span is a pin connected Pratt truss with wrought iron floor beams. It will be rehabilitated and repainted to maintain a 12.5 foot wide crossing for pedestrian, bicycle and horses.
