Project Description:
HALIFAX- RECONSTRUCTION OF ROUTE 36 (HOLMES STREET) FROM ROUTE 106 TO PEMBROKE T.L. (APPROX. 2 MILES)
The work under this contract consists of the reconstruction of Holmes Street (Route 36) from the intersection with Plymouth Street (Route 106) northerly to the Pembroke town line, a distance of approximately 2.0 miles. The work includes earth excavation, excavation by cold planer, full depth bituminous concrete pavement construction, bituminous concrete overlay, drainage system construction, bituminous concrete berm construction, granite curb installation, handicap accessible bituminous concrete sidewalk construction, cemented stone masonry retaining wall construction, bituminous concrete driveway construction, highway guard installation, pavement marking and sign installation, and landscaping.
