SHARON- RECONSTRUCTION OF NORTH AND SOUTH MAIN STREETS ( INCLUDING PART OF DEPOT STREET ) POST OFFICE SQUARE IMPROVEMENTS

The work under this Contract consists of the reconstruction of about 4.7 miles of South and North Main Street from Laurel Road to Cobb’s Corner as well as 980 feet of Depot Street. The work includes excavation, full depth hot mix asphalt pavement, drainage, water systems modifications, hot mix asphalt and cement concrete and brick sidewalks, granite curb and edging, and new and reconstructed traffic signal systems. Also included are streetscape improvements in the downtown including the addition of trees and shrubs, ornamental street lighting, benches, and trash receptacles. The streetscape improvements occur on Main Street from its intersection with East Chestnut Street and Chestnut Street to its intersection with School Street and Highland Street.
