MAYNARD- INTERSECTION (AND ROADWAY) IMPROVEMENTS, 3 LOCATIONS, ROUTE 27/CONCORD ST, ROUTE 27/ACTON ST, ACTON ST/CONCORD ST

The proposed improvements for this intersection reconstruction project consists of a fully actuated traffic signal at the intersection of Route 27 (Haynes Street) and Concord Street. The work will include full depth roadway reconstruction, granite curb installation, drainage system improvements, and handicap accessible cement concrete sidewalk construction. The southerly exit of Acton Street onto Route 27 will be closed. The width of Route 27 will be increased within the project limits with a minor roadway realignment along Haynes Street as it approaches the intersection for improved sight distance. Areas disturbed by the construction will be graded as necessary and landscaped. New pavement markings and traffic signing will be installed accordingly to guide motorists through the intersection.
