ASHFIELD- CONWAY- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON A SECTION OF ROUTE 116

This project begins at Emmets Road in Ashfield and ends at the Conway/Deerfield town line, a distance of 9.5 miles. The project involves resurfacing, placing rip rap along several sections of failing embankment along the South River, drainage improvements, dense graded crushed stone for shoulders, cement concrete sidewalks, upgrading highway guard, bridge rail and bridge decks at five locations, new pavement markings and other related work. Full depth reconstruction is proposed for the Conway town center. The town center will also receive an enhancement funded streetscape project, one mile in length, which will include sidewalks, landscaping, benches, historic markers and other amenities.
