Project Description:
HATFIELD- NORTHAMPTON- WHATELY- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON SECTIONS OF ROUTE 5/10
The work consists of roadway improvements for Route 5&10 in Northampton, Hatfield and Whately. The project begins at Interchange #21 in Northampton and proceeds northerly to Whately for a total distance of approximately 7.25 miles. The existing roadway varies in width from 24 feet to 40 feet. The proposed roadway will consist of two 11.5-foot travel lanes with paved shoulders varying in width from 2.5 feet to 8.5 feet, for a total roadway width of 28 to 40 feet. Work also includes improvements to drainage, guardrail, sight distance, and pavement markings.
