GARDNER- WESTMINSTER- ROUTE 140 COLD PLANE OVERLAY, BOX WIDENING, SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION, CHANNELIZATION GREEN ST. TO SCENIC DR.

The Route 140 Roadway Improvement project begins just north of the intersection of Route 140 and Route 101 in the Town of Gardner and extends for 3.2 miles to just south of the interchange between Route 140 and Route 2 in the Town of Westminster. The project will consist of a bituminous concrete overlay and minor widening due to surface deterioration and increases in traffic. In addition, the communities of Gardner and Westminster have requested the addition of exclusive left-turn lanes at the intersections of Route 140 with: Pearl Street (Route 101), Betty Spring Road, Sargent Road, and Simplex Drive/ Route 2 westbound on/off ramps
