Project Description:
SOMERVILLE- BRIDGE REHABILITATION, S-17-005, CROSS STREET OVER THE B&M RAILROAD
The work included in this project involves the rehabilitation of the superstructure of the Cross Street bridge over B&M Railroad in Somerville. Configuration of the floor beam system will be evaluated for any potential additional vertical clearance for the railroad. The bridge deck will be replaced. Selected floor beams and stringers will be replaced. Selected gussets will be replaced. A detour will be put in place for vehicular traffic and a temporary pedestrian bridge will installed.
