Project Description:
MIDDLEFIELD- RECONSTRUCTION OF SKYLINE TRAIL (MAIN ROAD) FROM THE PERU TL TO THE CHESTER TL ( 5.6 MI )
The Skyline Trail is an 29,800 meter country road that serves as the primary means of access to the communities it traverses. This project is the 9,000 meter section that begins at the Peru / Middlefield town line and proceeds southeast to the Middlefield / Chester town line. This road will be rehabilitated by means of a reclamation process. The intersection of Main Road with Chester Road will be improved to meet safety standards. Other work includes upgrading the drainage systems, resurfacing or reconstructing side road approaches and driveway aprons, and upgrading signs and pavement markings.
