Project Description:
SPRINGFIELD- TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS, ROUTE 20 (PAGE BOULEVARD) AT CADWELL DRIVE AND ROBBINS ROAD
This traffic operations and safety improvement project along Page Boulevard (Route 20) begins at the Interstate 291 off ramp, and proceeds easterly along Page Boulevard to a distance of approximately 170 meters beyond the Cadwell Drive/Robbins Road intersection. The project area also includes work along 110 meters of Robbins Road and 100 meters of Cadwell Drive. Major improvements include: minor widening and new roadway pavement; provision of traffic controlled exclusive left-turn lanes; upgrading the existing signs, pavement markings and drainage; new concrete sidewalks; and the installation by CSX Railroad Corporation of safety gates, warning signs and signals at the Robbins Road railroad grade crossing.
