Project Description:
BECKET- MIDDLEFIELD- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, BR# B-03-036=M-19-005 BANCROFT ROAD OVER WEST BRANCH OF THE WESTFIELD RIVER
The proposed bridge will be constructed adjacent to the existing bridge and will measure 29.5 feet wide and 114.8 feet long. The new structure will consist of a composite high strength concrete deck supported by four prestressed concrete New England Bulb Tee girders. The roadway will be realigned to accommodate the new bridge. The work also includes full depth reconstruction of the roadway approaches for a total combined length of 950 feet. The existing bridge will remain open during construction of the new bridge.
