EASTON- BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS, E-06-002 & E-06-030, CENTRAL STREET OVER QUESET BROOK

The work under this project consists of replacing the two Central Street Bridges over the Queset Brook. The new bridges will be two-span precast concrete culverts with a 29.5-foot wide asphalt wearing surface. A 5-foot handicap accessible cement concrete sidewalk will be constructed on the west side of the structures. The roadway approaches to the bridge will essentially remain in the same alignment with a proposed 5 foot sidewalk on the west side of Central Street. The limits of work on Central Street will extend to the Washington Street intersection. The bridges will be closed during construction to minimize the construction duration. The detour length is approximately 1.86 miles via Washington Street and Depot Street.
