Project Description:
NORTHAMPTON- NORWOTTUCK RAIL-TRAIL EXTENSION, FROM LOOK PARK TO LEEDS, INCLUDES N-19-073 (LOOK PARK) & N-19-044 (ARCH STREET)
This project consists of constructing a 2.0 mile long paved trail along a section of an abandoned rail corridor. The project begins at the terminus of the existing Northampton Bike Path near Bridge Street/Look Park and proceeds northwest to the end of Grove Avenue near the Williamsburg town line. Proposed work items include: construction of a 10-foot wide paved path, safety railings, bridge replacement, culvert repair/replacement, traffic signs, pavement markings, clearing and grubbing, and erosion control measures.
