SPRINGFIELD- WEAVE ELIMINATION PROJECT ON ROUTE I-91 N.B. & S.B. BETWEEN EXIT 4 (MAIN STREET) & EXIT 6 (STATE STREET)

The purpose of this project is to eliminate the existing weave maneuvers between the on and off ramps of I-91 (in both the north- and south-bound directions) that serve the downtown business area in Springfield. The weave maneuvers on I-91 will be eliminated by reversing the direction of the ramps along I-91. The scope includes the reconstruction of retaining walls for the embankments along I-91.
