Project Description:
NEWBURY- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, BR# N-10-005, HAY STREET OVER THE LITTLE RIVER
This project consists of replacing the structurally deficient Hay Street Bridge over the Little River with a new bridge. The existing bridge and piers will be removed and replaced with a new single span bridge with new bridge abutments constructed behind the existing abutments. The new bridge will be 28 feet wide from curb to curb. The bridge roadway approaches will be reconstructed. No sidewalk is being proposed for the bridge or roadway approaches. The bridge will be closed during construction and traffic detoured.
