BELCHERTOWN- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, B-05-005, RIVER STREET OVER JABISH BROOK

The proposed work includes the demolition of the existing bridge and the construction of a new bridge, as well as the reconstruction of the bridge approaches on River Street over the Jabish Brook. The new bridge will be built on the existing alignment and in the same location as the existing bridge. The proposed superstructure will consist of a 69 foot single span pre-stressed concrete butted box beams with a bituminous concrete riding surface. The proposed roadway width will carry two 12 foot travel lanes, a 1.3 foot right shoulder and a 6 foot sidewalk on the downstream side. The proposed work includes installation of new guard railings and pavement markings. The bridge will be closed during construction and traffic will be detoured
