ERVING- RECONSTRUCTION & IMPROVEMENTS ON ROUTE 2, FROM RIVER ROAD TO OLD ROUTE 2

This project is intended to improve safety and enhance the flow of traffic by implementing various geometric improvements at five intersections along Route 2 in Erving. At the intersections of Route 2 and River Road; Route 2 and Forest Street; and Route 2 and East Prospect Street; there will be widening to accommodate an exclusive turning lane. At the intersection of Forest Street with Northfield Road, Moore Street and Semb Drive, the alignment will be improved to create more of a traditional four-legged intersection. At the intersection of Route 2 and Old Route 2, Route 2 will be lowered 3.7 feet to improve the sight distances.
