AUBURN- WORCESTER- GREATER WORCESTER ACCESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (GWAIP)

For this inactive project, MassHighway assessed twenty-seven alternatives that would improve access from I-290 to the vicinity of the Worcester Regional Airport. The alternatives included improvements to existing intersections and limited access two-lane roadways on new alignment beginning at I-290’s Exit 10/Hope Ave. or Exit 11/ Brosnihan Square. The project was de-activated in the early 2000s.
