WORCESTER- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON SHREWSBURY STREET FROM WASHINGTON SQUARE ROTARY TO ROUTE 9 (BELMONT STREET)

This project consists of the reconstruction of Shrewsbury Street. The project begins at the intersection with Brackett Court and extends northeasterly, a distance of approximately 1.2 miles, to the intersection of Atchinson Street, just west of Route 9. The proposed improvements include geometric modifications to the existing median, pedestrian safety improvements and streetscape enhancements. The roadway will be excavated by cold planer and resurfaced. The sidewalks will be expanded at the intersections with pedestrian neck downs and the on-street parking will be formally delineated.
