Project Description:
FALMOUTH- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, F-03-009, CHAPOQUOIT ROAD OVER WEST FALMOUTH HARBOR
The proposed project consists of replacing the existing four-span structurally deficient steel girder bridge with a new four-span prestressed concrete beam bridge on the same general alignment. The work will extend approximately 300 feet west of the bridge and 400 feet east of the bridge. This approach roadway work will consist of reconstruction of the existing pavement, minor vertical and horizontal alignment improvements, safety improvements for proper guardrail transition to the bridge, pavement markings, and signage. The project will be constructed in two phases of construction using a temporary traffic signal to allow for alternating one-way traffic. A sidewalk will remain open at all times during construction.
