Project Description: |
DEDHAM- BRIDGE REHABILITATION, D-05-005, AMES STREET OVER THE CHARLES RIVER
The proposed project consists of replacing the currently closed easterly sidewalk spans (built 1917) with a new replicated structure. The original masonry arches (built 1870) and concrete arches (built 1926) along the westerly side will be maintained and a new deck will span these historic arches. The bridge will be opened to vehicle traffic during construction and a foot-bridge will be constructed for pedestrians.
