Project Description:
LUNENBURG- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, BR# L-17-010, LEOMINSTER-SHIRLEY ROAD OVER THE B&M RR & MBTA
This project is essentially the replacement of the Leominster-Shirley Road Bridge over the B&M RR. The new bridge will have a three span steel supported deck structure with new abutments behind the existing abutments. A temporary bridge will be used to manage traffic while the existing bridge is under construction. The work includes full depth reconstruction of the roadways approaching the bridge, drainage system improvements, granite curb installation, cement concrete sidewalks, hot mix asphalt driveway construction, pavement markings and sign installation, and other necessary landscaping.
