ADAMS- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION, ROUTE 8 (COMMERCIAL STREET) AT ROUTE 116 (CENTER STREET)
As a result of the Major Investment Study for Access to Central and North Berkshire, MassHighway identified this intersection as a project to reduce travel time to North Berkshire County. The existing signal system will be replaced with a fully actuated signal system sensitive to traffic demand to improve the flow of traffic. Also included will be an update to pedestrian access at the intersection along with dedicated turn lanes.
