Project Description:
LEE- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, L-05-023, OLD PLEASANT STREET OVER HOUSATONIC RIVER
The work under this project consists of the replacement of the Old Pleasant Street Bridge over the Housatonic River. The proposed structure will be a single-span pre-stressed concrete box beam superstructure with a hot mix asphalt deck surface. The new abutments will be constructed behind the existing abutments. The bridge profile shall meet the approach roadway profile. The width of the roadway shall meet the proposed approach roadway curb-to-curb width and a handicap accessible sidewalk will remain on the south side of the bridge. The bridge will be closed during construction and a detour route will be established. The utilities on the bridge structure will need to be relocated within the new structure.
