Project Description:
DANVERS- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, D-03-026, ROUTE 1 OVER CENTRE STREET (NB & SB)
The proposed project consists of the replacement of the existing bridges and abutments for the Route One Northbound and Southbound structures over Centre Street, and includes improvements to the interchange ramp terminals and speed change lanes. The proposed replacement bridges will consist of a reinforced concrete deck slab supported on 3-span continuous beams. The new substructures will consist of concrete abutments and drilled shaft piers. Also included will be new bridge rail, highway guard rail, median barrier, pavement markings, signs, and hot mix asphalt. The proposed work will be constructed within the existing highway layout.
