Project Description:
HOLYOKE- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, H-21-039, ROUTE 202 (BEECH STREET) OVER B&M R.R.
The purpose of this project is to demolish the existing bridge and replace it with a three span superstructure on new precast concrete abutments and piers. The proposed bridge shall maintain the present vertical and horizontal clearance from the railroad track. The bridge alignment shall be improved to safely accommodate weaving traffic entering from Lyman Street. The curb-to-curb width of the proposed bridge shall be 44 feet, and there shall be one 5'-6" sidewalk. The bridge demolition and construction shall be done in two stages with a one-way travel lane available at all times. A traffic management plan is required.
