Project Description:
CHICOPEE- RECONSTRUCTION ON CENTER STREET (ROUTE 116)
The work consists of reconstructing Center Street in the City of Chicopee. The project begins at the City Line with Springfield and ends approximately 200 feet north of Hampden Street. The work involves full depth reconstruction of the roadway from the City Line to approximately 700 feet south of 1-391; geometric improvements and installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Center Street, Hampden Street and West Street; and installing a new water main and services for the length of the project and on a section of Plainfield Street and a section of Hampden Street. There is also work on all side streets. The approximate length of the project is 1.12 miles.
