NORTHBRIDGE- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, N-21-004, DOUGLAS ROAD OVER THE MUMFORD RIVER

The proposed project consists of replacement of the existing two span masonry arch bridge, built in 1857 and reconstructed in 1923, carrying Douglas Road over the Mumford River. The proposed replacement bridge consists of a concrete single span bridge with features to complement the architectural aesthetics of the surrounding historic district. Two way traffic and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction through the use of a temporary bridge. Also included is the necessary roadway reconstruction, utility relocation, drainage and other incidental work.
