BROOKLINE- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK, ROUTE 9 (BOYLSTON STREET) FROM THE NEWTON CITY LINE TO HIGH STREET
This project consists of resurfacing a portion of Route 9 (Boylston Street) in Brookline and includes related work. The length of roadway proposed for resurfacing amounts to 14,500 feet (2.746 miles). Work will include resurfacing the roadway, replacing highway guard rail, reconstructing the median, improving drainage and sanitary sewer structures, constructing wheelchair ramps, and installing traffic control loop detectors. The work will not widen the overall roadway and sidewalk width so there will be no increase in impervious area. Hay bales and silt fence will be located at areas of environmental concern. Areas include, but are not limited to slope embankments adjacent to resource areas, drainage pipe outlets, paved waterways, and areas designated by the Engineer.
