WHATELY- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, W-33-009, HAYDENVILLE ROAD OVER WEST BROOK
The proposed work includes replacing the Haydenville Road bridge over West Brook in Whately. The existing town-owned bridge, constructed in 1880 and reconstructed in 1951, is a single span steel stringer structure with a curb to curb width of 27 feet, 9 inches and no sidewalks. The proposed bridge width is 28 feet 10 inches curb to curb. The bridge is to be constructed in stages to allow one lane of traffic at all times with traffic signals.
