Project Description:
BELCHERTOWN- PAVEMENT REHABILITATION & RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 181, FROM MAPLE ST TO BELCHERTOWN/PALMER TOWN LINE (5.5 MILES)
The limits of this pavement rehabilitation project are along town-owned Route 181 from the Maple Street intersection southerly to the Belchertown/Palmer town line, for a total length of approximately 5.65 miles. Route 181 will be reconstructed to a final lane configuration of two 11 foot lanes and two 4 foot shoulders. Safety improvements to be constructed as part of this project include minor sight distance improvements, bicycle accommodation improvements, sidewalk reconstruction, roadway drainage improvements, guardrail and the installation of pavement markings and signage.
