NORTHAMPTON- SIGNAL & INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON EARLE STREET

The work consists of reconstructing approximately 1800 feet of Earle Street and widening and overlay of approximately 1150 feet of Route 10 as well as constructing a traffic signal at the Route 10/Earle Street intersection in Northampton. The work on the bridge on Route 10 over the Mill River will consist of removing existing pavement markings and installing new pavement markings to accommodate the required lane configuration. No structural modifications to the bridge are anticipated. The work includes unclassified excavation, cold planing, full depth hot mix asphalt pavement, hot mix asphalt overlay, drainage system modifications, granite curb, cement concrete sidewalk, highway guard, traffic signal system instalation, utility installation, pavement markings, signs, landscaping, modified rockfill slope, retaining wall and other work.
