MEDFORD- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, M-12-004, WINTHROP STREET OVER THE MYSTIC RIVER
Work includes the replacement of the existing bridge carrying Winthrop Street over the Mystic River. The existing bridge constructed in 1926 is 71.8 feet long and 40.3 feet wide curb to curb. The new structure will be 38 feet wide curb to curb with two 6.5 foot sidewalks. The bridge will need to be constructed in stages due to the high traffic volumes.
