OXFORD- CULVERT REPLACEMENT, O-06-001, COMINS ROAD OVER FRENCH RIVER
The purpose of this project is to replace the culvert carrying Comins Road over French River under the auspices of the“Footprint” Bridge Replacement Program. The existing structure built in 1979 is a two barrel corrugated galvanized steel culvert structure which is now structurally deficient. It is anticipated that the structure will be replaced with a pre-cast three sided bridge. The proposed bridge curb to curb width is 28 feet with no sidewalks. The curb to curb width of the roadway over the bridge will be 28 feet matching the existing roadway width. The length of the project is 386 feet. The roadway is functionally classified as an urban collector/rural minor collector. There will be minor roadway reconstruction and resurfacing work approaching the bridge. The bridge will be closed during construction and a detour will be provided.
