UXBRIDGE- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, U-02-030, RIVER ROAD OVER THE IRONSTONE BROOK

The proposed project involves replacing the existing 2 span bridge on River Road over the Ironstone Brook and the reconstruction of approximately 600 feet of approach work. The proposed single span steel structure will accommodate two 12 foot wide travel lanes, two 4 foot shoulders, and a safety curb mounted with a steel bridge railing. A sidewalk will not be provided on the bridge as there are no sidewalks on River Road in the vicinity of the bridge. The roadway centerline will be shifted to the north while the south edge of the roadway is maintained. The bridge is proposed to be closed during construction with the use of a signed detour.
