LITTLETON- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, L-13-021, TAYLOR STREET OVER I-495 (NB & SB), L-13-022, I-495 (NB & SB) OVER ROUTE 2 & L-13-023, I-495 (NB & SB) OVER RAILROAD BRIDGE

This bridge project will result in the removal of the existing bridges of I-495 over Route 2 and the construction of new bridges on new alignments to allow for construction staging. The project also will result in the removal of the Taylor Street Bridge over I-495 and the construction of a new bridge in the same horizontal alignment. The bridge carrying I-495 over the MBTA Commuter Rail Line will also be rehabilitated. Work includes approximately 2,800 feet of highway approach work, modifications to the interchange ramps to meet the new alignment, modification to the Taylor Street roadway profile, upgrading the storm water drainage system, highway guards, loam and seeding, and other necessary incidental work. The bridge will be constructed in stages to accommodate existing traffic throughout construction.
