Project Description:
TEMPLETON- RECONSTRUCTION OF BALDWINVILLE ROAD, FROM ROUTE 202/68 TO PATRIOTS ROAD (APPROX. 3 MILES)
The project limits are from Route 202/68 to Route 101/2AA (Patriot Road) for a total length of 3.6 miles including approximately 2000 feet of State Highway Layout at Route 2. The improvements include a combination of coldplane and overlay, pavement reclamation and a short section of full-depth repair. New sidewalk with ADA compliant wheelchair ramps will be constructed on one side of the road for the entire length of the corridor. The roadway cross slope will be restored and drainage improvements will be constructed to eliminate ponding and icing conditions. Minor widening of the roadway is required to meet bicycle accommodation standards. Current widths vary between 26’ and 30’. A consistent 32’ width (12’ lanes, 4’ shoulders) is proposed. Sewer trenches that have settled will be repaired.
