HARWICH- INTERSECTION & SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT ROUTE 124 AND QUEEN ANNE ROAD
The project involves transportation improvements to the Queen Anne Road and Route 124 intersection located just south of the Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway) Interchange #10. The poor level of service warrants the installation of a fully actuated traffic signal control system. Left turn lanes are proposed on both Route 124 approaches to improve overall operational characteristics.
Other improvements include the following: expansion of the existing highway drainage system; revisions to travel lanes on the Route 124 southbound approach; truck turning movement improvements at the corners of the intersection; and pavement improvements with combined box widening and pavement overlays.
