BOSTON- RECONSTRUCTION & IMPROVEMENTS ON MUSEUM ROAD & FORSYTH WAY

The purpose of the proposed roadway reconstruction work is to improve vehicular and pedestrian accommodations, and loading and parking operations in the roadways directly surrounding the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA). The work includes converting Museum Road from the current one-way operation to two way, narrowing Forsyth Way, and improving sidewalks on the abutting streets. As part of the improved pedestrian access to the Fenway entrance of the MFA, a new vehicular drop-off will be constructed adjacent to the Fenway entry. Additionally, Forsyth Way will be narrowed with new sidewalks, street lighting, and landscape improvements.
