CHICOPEE-WEST SPRINGFIELD- BRIDGE PRESERVATION, C-13-034=W-21-043, I-91 OVER CONNECTICUT RIVER
The proposed work for the bridge carrying I-91 over the Connecticut River consists of retrofitting the Pin and Hanger assemblies on these structures. This work will be performed to avoid load posting Interstate I-91 for the numerical load rating values, provide a system redundancy, and reduce the potential for failure associated with the existing fracture critical detailing.
